OCSPUG March Meeting Speaker Zlatan Dzinic at Crescent

Microsoft SharePoint guru Zlatan Dzinic will be the guest speaker when Crescent Solutions hosts The Orange County SharePoint User Group (OCSPUG) monthly meeting on Wed., March 21, 2012.  The gathering will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Crescent Solutions headquarters, 17871 Mitchell N. Ste. 100, Irvine, Calif.

Great grub will be provided courtesy of Crescent Solutions.The OCSPUG brings together business users, administrators and developers to network and share knowledge about SharePoint technology. The group’s goal is to have a fun, vendor-neutral environment where users can enhance their technical and business skills in this growing enterprise content management space.

OCSPUG’s March Speaker will be Zlatan Dzinic, Director of Specialized Services at Hitachi Consulting.  Dzinic’s SharePoint work has been recognized by Microsoft Corporation in his position as a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP / Virtual Technical Solutions Professional (V-TSP).

Microsoft SharePoint is a Web application platform.  SharePoint is typically associated with Web content management and document management systems, but it is actually a much broader platform of Web technologies, capable of being configured to suit a wide range of solution areas.

Dzinic will be demonstrating workflows using SharePoint Designer and also Microsoft Visual Studio.  Microsoft Office SharePoint Designer enables users to design workflows that add application logic to sites or applications without the need to write custom code.  Visual Studio is an integrated development environment (IDE) used to develop console and graphical user interface applications. Dzinic will provide an in-depth preview of what users can and cannot do with these programs.
