Steven Mitchell is a sports loving West Coast native. Born and raised in Southern California, he’s an avid Dodgers, Lakers, and Rams fan. When mentioning his alma mater, UC Santa Barbara, you’ll proudly hear him exclaim, “Go Gauchos!”
Prior to joining the Crescent team, he worked at Aerotek, a leader in recruiting for the aerospace and defense industry. With recruiting as a clear passion for Steve, he seamlessly transitioned from Aerotek to Crescent and never looked back. Recently celebrating his 10-year anniversary, I asked this VP to take a moment and reflect back on one of his first, and fondest, work memories. His response? “Being stuck in a ride at Magic Mountain during a company outing.”
His self-proclaimed “old school humor” and personality have won over the hearts of colleagues, “to know him is to love him,” says coworker, Lead Recruiter, Laura Cooper. “Whether you know him best as S Dot or Raging Rhino, Steve is an endearing, idiosyncratic guy that’s been with Crescent since almost the very beginning.“ She went on to jokingly add, “He’s got a big heart, wears big Hawaiian shirts, and has a big temper, which can be witnessed in this YouTube video – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wXl0uiUSH-o.”
However, the family he has made at Crescent is second to the beautiful family he has made at home. His wife and adorable 2 children, Luke and Reagan, are the center of his universe.
When asked what he does for fun he smiled and simply replied, “Spend time with the family.”
