Employee Spotlight: Amy Lopez, the Conscientious Recruiter

Amy Lopez

The Lopez family moved many times during Amy’s childhood but always stayed true to their Orange County roots. “I grew up in Fullerton with my younger brother Andrew,” says Amy. “He is only 20 years old but he towers over me. Everyone thinks I’m the little sister!…at least that’s what he tells everyone,” she says with a laugh. Amy graduated early from high school in Huntington Beach due to Independent Studies.  “After high school, I was a part-time student but given certain circumstances, decided I needed to work full-time.”

While working as an Administrative Assistant for a company that handled remodeled kitchens, Amy decided to switch career paths, making Crescent Solutions her new home. “I’m currently a Technical Recruiter for the VMS division in Ontario, CA,” she says. “When I started it was Brian Fischbein’s 40th birthday. I had been with the company for about a month when I was told we were attending this huge birthday campout party. It was unexpected but a lot of fun!!”

Even more memorable was an event that happened not so long ago involving a colleague. “A year ago Rachel and I were in a car accident on our lunch break. Not at all forgettable or fun. Luckily it was around the corner from our office in Corona and Mike came to the rescue!” Thank goodness luck was on their side.

In the office, her peers know the self-described blunt and sarcastic Recruiter as a hard worker. “She comes in early, sources, and pounds the phone,” notes co-worker Heath Hamaguchi. ”I’ve seen her grow and am happy every time I hear she has found someone a new job. She is passionate about her work.”

Her personal life is forming quite nicely as well. “I’ve been with an amazing guy, Shaun, for about 3 years now and couldn’t be happier,” gushes Amy. “I also have a crazy hyper kitten and two loving golden retrievers.” Other than spreading around her free time to all of her loved ones and pets, Amy finds solace in hiking, attending concerts and comedy shows, indulging in new foods, and sunbathing.
