Consultant of the Month- Chris, the Adventurous New Jersey Native with a Zest for Life

ChrisMoylenPictureChris has been a constant source of energy and positivity for the Crescent team for over 4 years, and this adventurous New Jersey native is never one to sit idly. When he isn’t hard at work, he can often be found hiking with his adorable Cocker Spaniel Penny, rollerblading, swimming, mountain biking, traveling, or spending time with his girlfriend. A sports-loving Yankees and Rangers fan, he also became an avid Miami Heat and Dolphins fanatic after attending college at the University of South Florida.

With over 15 years of experience in the IT Consultant/Architect field, Chris found a home at Crescent, currently working as a Systems Architect for a major California-based video game publisher. He remembers his initial meeting years ago with Dave Entire, Senior Technical Recruiter, and Mitch Balzer, the EVP of Crescent, fondly. “They definitely want to see people be successful and provide the support to achieve that. They are always looking to help in any way possible.  The positive nature of those gentlemen and the overall integrity of the company is simply awesome.”

The feeling of respect is mutual, “What makes Chris such a great consultant is that he is a great guy,” gushes Entire.  “He is well liked by his peers and the executive teams.  Routinely we have past clients asking what his availability looks like in the future.” Entire continues, “Not only is he an expert in MS Exchange and Active Directory, his overall infrastructure architectural skills are excellent. Mitch and I both see him as a good friend.”

Outside of IT, and in between his very active lifestyle, he finds time to invest in Real Estate and Equity Markets. He even ran for Mayor of Los Angeles in 2013! “I did it for the experience of the Political campaign process in our country. It was very fun and educational,” boasts Chris, crediting his mom for instilling the value of hard work. “I have 1 brother and 1 sister, we were primarily raised by Mom. Gotta give a shout out to my Mom, she did a great job raising three kids as a single parent.  That is definitely a huge accomplishment. Goooo Mom!”

The old adage “Treat people the way you want to be treated” is at the very core of Chris’ beliefs, one that he attributes to his success. “I focus on the positive/good in people. Seeing people’s strengths allows me to develop solid relationships both in the workplace and in my personal life. Encouragement is a powerful force on people and makes the world a better place,” says Chris.  “Negative people generate negative results.  Positive people generate positive results. Very simple philosophy but ever so true.” We couldn’t agree more.
